The Pathways telehealth nurse program was developed by the Centre for Community-Driven Research (who developed and host NMOSD Australia). Pathways is a free service that any NMOSD patient can access, regardless of their location. The program provides a service for children and adults.

NMOSD families have accessed the service and we are calling on the community to donate and ensure the continuation of a dedicated NMOSD Pathways Nurse service.

Pathways nurses conduct a holistic consultation to understand everything that is happening with the patient in front of them. It’s a model of care that helps people navigate the complex health system and access all that is available to them. The Pathways nurse then works with the patient to develop a care plan and offers support and guidance along the way.
